Young Architects Competition invites design for Sport citadel. Sports Citadel aims to generate a true acropolis of competitiveness. It will be a global reference to practice, study and celebrate multiple disciplines. Prior to the training space, it will be a space to live. It will be a space where to materialize the dream of harmony, overcoming limits and pursuit of excellence, in which the sports practice is grounded.

It will be a unique and fascinating challenge. In fact, designing an area [for sport] means creating a sanctuary for the display of the sporting spectacle. Moreover, it means giving a reference to the community. It means creating a place where to hope and rejoice, be moved and touched. Here, thousands of hearts can be turned on in unison by one of the passions that have always been inflaming men and women of all times: sport.

Sport Citadel Young Architects Prize

A panel of judges will select seven winners among which they will award the First, Second, Third and Fourth Prizes. Each of the winners will receive a cash prize as well as an opportunity to exhibit their design. The cash prizes for the winner include:

• First prize: €10,000
• Second Prize: €4,000
• Third Prize: €2,000
• 4 x Fourth Prize: €1,000

Who is eligible for the Sport Citadel Young Architects Competition?

Competitors can be students, graduated, freelance architects, designers or artists are eligible to participate in the Sport Citadel Young Architects Competition. However,  it is not mandatory to be involved in architectural disciplines or enrolled in architectural associations. Further, to participate in the Sprot Citadel Architectural Competition:

• Competitors can join the competition either individually or with a team. Moreover, a team could consist of any number of team members.
• However, a team must have at least one team member aged 18 to 35.
• Further, members of the teams can come from different countries and universities.
• Paying one registration fee allows joining the competition with one project.
• Paying further registration fees allows joining the competition with additional projects
• Prizes include bank commissions and fees.
• Prizes are established regardless of the number of members of the team.

Participate in the Sport Citadel Young Architects Competition 2019

To participate in the Sport Citadel Young Architects Competition, applicants must at first make the online registration. Further, the candidates will also require to pay the registration fee to participate in the competition.

• 22 July- $60/team
• 1 September- $85/team
• 29 September- $110/team

Deadline

The final deadline for the late registration for the Sport Citadel Competition is on 29 September 2019. Further, the deadline to submit the project is 2 October 2019. Submission of the project is only eligible after the primary registration.
