Tapirulan Illustration Contest is celebrating its first 15 years, so it is no longer a normal competition. Moreover, it considers it, rather proudly, a super competition, open to all superillustrators. Further, it believes that the artists are ready to surpass themselves and especially their competitors to be among the 48 artists who will have their work on display in the exhibition. At stake, for the overall winner, there is the super prize of 2,500 euros. At this point, it is perhaps superfluous to specify that the theme of the fifteenth edition of the competition for illustrators is SUPER.

Tapirulan Illustration Prize

The first prize awarded by the jury is 2,500 euros. The winner of the prize will be invited next year to make his own solo exhibition at the Tapirulan Gallery, with the publication of the personal catalog. The Tapirulan Contest also includes a Popular Prize of 500 euros.

Also, all 48 selected authors will receive a free copy of the calendar and catalog. The jury will select 12 authors to publish on the Tapirulan calendar and will receive a free copy.

Who is eligible for the Tapirulan Illustration Contest?

Tapirulan considers artists of all nationalities eligible to participate in the Illustration Contest. Further, the artists should meet the requirements which include:

• There is no age limit however underage candidates need parents’ authorization.
• Every candidate may submit only one brand-new work. Works which have received awards previously will not be eligible.
• Artists may use any medium and any technique.
• Each artwork must be square-shaped, not smaller than 25×25 centimeters and not bigger than 40×40 centimeters.
• Panel or frame, holding the artwork must not exceed 3 mm in thickness.
• In case of a digital image, it should be 31×31 centimeters (300 dpi – JPG format – best quality).

How to apply for Tapirulan Illustration Contest?

Artists can participate in the Tapirulan Illustration Contest either by filling and submitting their entries via the online form. Or they can also send their work by mail together with the relevant form. Moreover, the participants must fill-up and sign the form. As well as they should include the receipt for payment of the subscription fee to the following address:

The subscription fee for the Tapirulan Illustration Contest is 15 euros. The participants can pay this amount via

Deadline

Tapirulan Association will accept the application as well as the artwork until the deadline October 18, 2019. Works sent by post must arrive by (or before) the same date.
