Applications are now open for the WeXchange Women STEMpreneurs Competition, which seeks to identify the most innovative and dynamic women entrepreneurs in STEM. The program will conduct Bootcamp as well as connect them with potential opportunities of access to financing.

Prizes for Women STEMpreneurs Competition

• 15 women-led startups will be selected to travel to Miami to pitch their business to venture capital investors.
• The selected startups will participate in a five-day hybrid Bootcamp that includes workshops on technology, digital marketing, leadership, as well as capital raising, organized by Google.
• Moreover, the program will cover travel and lodging expenses for the woman founder/co-founder or director (C-level) of the company, who will be pitching.

Eligibility

• Startups with at least one woman in the founding or leadership team (C-level), who will apply as well as pitch their startup.
• Startups with a high technological component or where Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) are key pieces
• Also, startups with headquarters and operations in at least one country in Latin America and/or the Caribbean.
• Legally incorporated startups.
• Startups with highly scalable business models at a regional/global level and a high potential for social and/or environmental impact.
• In addition, startups in the process of raising capital from pre-Seed to Series B financing rounds.

Selection Criteria

1. Profile of the founding team, previous experience, and ability to execute.
2. Differentiating/disruptive element of the proposed solution.
3. Also, Growth potential & market size.
4. Viability of the business model.
5. In addition, Scalability potential.
6. Potential for social and/or environmental impact.
7. Moreover, Performance and traction to date.
