Are you passionate about Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT)? Do you have an innovative classroom practice, research insight, or technology-enhanced TBLT method to share with the world? Here’s your chance. Submit your proposal for the TBLT in Action Symposium 2025!
The Center for International Foreign Language Teacher Education (CIFLTE) at Teachers College, Columbia University invites proposals for its 2025 online symposium, TBLT in Action: Global Perspectives & Practices, taking place on November 14 and 15, 2025.
This two-day virtual event will explore how Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) is conceptualized and put into practice around the world across classrooms, communities, and cultures. As TBLT continues to evolve in response to research findings, learners’ needs and institutional realities, this symposium offers a space to share emerging research and practitioner insights that bring TBLT to life.
They invite proposals that reflect the theme of TBLT in Action—work that bridges theory and practice, adapts to local contexts, and embraces the dynamic, learner-centered spirit of TBLT. Presentations may highlight empirical studies, practical innovations, or critical reflections that illuminate the promises and complexities of TBLT today.
