The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) and the Youth in Landscapes Initiative (YIL) are creating a powerful landscape experience to inform the hearts and minds of future leaders. Held in the lead-up to the GLF Accra 2019 conference from 29-30 October, this program will bring together young change-makers from around the world to take a deep, analytical look at a local community or project that has successfully achieved its goals for a more sustainable landscape. Moreover, the Youth in Landscapes Camp is fully funded.

Participants will meet in Accra, and not only learn but also contribute to and leave an impact on the hosting community.

The Youth in Landscapes (YIL) Initiative is a growing global network and movement of over 50,000 young people working and studying in landscapes around the world. The Initiative is a partnership between the International Forestry Students’ Association (IFSA), Young Professionals for Agricultural Development (YPARD) and the Global Agroecology Alliance (GAEA) to deliver workshops, mentorship, training, and networking.

Whether online or in-person, YIL programs connect, support, and inspire young people to step into courageous leadership.

Who is eligible for Fully Funded Youth in Landscapes Camp?

Candidates are eligible for the Youth in Landscapes Camp if they meet the GLF criteria which include:

• Are between 18 and 35
• Likewise, have a passion for Sustainable Development
• Further, candidates must be eager to bring positive change in your own landscape
• Also, the candidates must be able to easily adapt to different situations
