Fully-funded RIPS Program in the United States. The Institute for Pure & Applied Mathematics at the University of California Los Angeles invites applicants to apply for Research in Industrial Programme for Students. The RIPS is an opportunity for talented undergraduates studying math, computer science, and related disciplines to work in teams on real-world research projects proposed by sponsors from industry or the public sector. The program will run for nine weeks. The participating candidates will engage in nine projects in which all of them involve some math, statistics, data, and computing
The Research in Industrial Projects for Students is a fully-funded program for students. The Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics provides each undergraduate student with a travel allowance and a stipend of $3,500. In addition to that, the program benefits also include the provisions of food and accommodation. The participating students will live in residence halls on the UCLA campus and will work at IPAM.
The Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IPAM) is an American mathematics institute funded by the National Science Foundation. IPAM is located on the UCLA campus, in close proximity to UCLA’s Department of Mathematics.
