FAST is an initiative of Flapmax in partnership with Microsoft. This Accelerator combines business development, technology integration, funding, and community-building opportunities to enable African startups to scale more rapidly and sustainably.
Sectors
While FAST may be sector-agnostic, they have a specific interest in startups innovating in key industries where AI can be greatly leveraged for societal good at large scales.

Benefits
- access to the Microsoft engineering team to co-innovate; this can range from product integrations to new offerings
- access to the Flapmax engineering team to co-innovate; this can include product integrations with Measure, Coral Imaging, and Fast Portal
- Up to $250,000 in cloud credits, including access to Founders Hub as well as virtual reality (VR) hardware
- Also, a high preference for startups with SME solutions.
- Joint Co-Sell engagement with Microsoft sales team in the enterprise and public sector as well as with Flapmax product team
- In addition, the AI Academy program includes xHAIL Apprenticeship program, Resident Research Engineers, and International Internships
- Partner Network provides access to exclusive resources, programs, tools, and connections across the continent to foster business growth
- Access to Microsoft VC circle to raise funds as well as scale your business
- Moreover, startups seeking to expand to the rest of Africa will benefit from cross-market expansion activities which introduce their product/services to new markets within the continent

How the Program Works
- First, put together a top-notch application package, ace the semi-final/final interviews, and get selected by the FAST Accelerator team
- Then, get onboarded on the FAST Portal where all your learning will take place with top business experts, every month for the next 3 months
- Get introduced to potential customers, create new business relationships and formulate new partnerships, while receiving the support you need for growth over the next 3 months
- Present your business to local and international investors
- Finally, become alumni and continue to receive perks as FAST continues to offer advice/make introductions

Eligibility
- Startups must be based in Africa
- Be ready to scale or expand within the continent
- Have established product-market fit and generated revenue
- B2B startups are prioritized
- Healthtech, Fintech, Edutech, and Industrials/Agritech startups are specifically of interest. Sustainability and Deeptech are welcomed
- Moreover, participants must be committed for the entire duration of the program
