Greener JC is announcing the second round of the Greening Your Business Grant to support additional businesses as they transition away from plastics.
Plastic pollution has a significant impact on our environment that requires the participation of as many as possible to help keep our Earth clean. Greener JC is funding organizations as well as businesses that are determined to take initiatives toward reducing plastic pollution and fostering a cleaner and healthier environment.
Benefits
- Jersey City businesses can apply to receive funding of up to $1,000 to support their plastic reduction efforts.
- Also, the funding can support the purchase of more eco-conscious items, efforts to phase out styrofoam or plastic straws, or other programs to decrease plastic use in any area of the business.
- Moreover, single-use carryout bags and polystyrene foam foodservice products will be banned in New Jersey stores and foodservice businesses. Hence, this is your opportunity to prepare your business while doing your part to make a greener Jersey City.

- May 2022 to December 2022 – Project Implementation
