The sixth annual fifth annual SXSW EDU Student Startup competition celebrates students who have the passion and drive to be the next generation of entrepreneurs. This pitch competition welcomes selected high school students to pitch their latest business ideas to a panel of industry experts and a live audience at SXSW EDU 2020. Moreover, the competition provides students with a remarkable opportunity to showcase their talents, validate their business ideas, and gain experience.
A panel of jury consisting the advisory board will decide the winner of the startup competition. Moreover, the advisory board constitutes leaders from all backgrounds in education including professionals from K-12 and higher education.
In 2019, the winning startup was recognized and celebrated at the conference-wide Student Startup Ice Cream Social. Additional winner details will be shared as the 2020 event approaches. Most importantly, the opportunity to receive invaluable exposure to the SXSW EDU community.
Candidates can participate in the SXSW EDU Student pitch competition if they meet the eligibility requirements as:
Participants can apply for the Startup competition only if they meet the eligibility criteria. Moreover, to apply for the Student Startup competition, participants must complete and submit the online application form. Participants must complete the application in full, providing all the necessary information. Also, the applicants must complete the questions regarding their startup.
Candidates can apply for the SXSW EDU Student Start Competition from July 1 to November 8, 2019. Applications arriving late are invalid for the competition.
