The German Medical Students Association offers the largest student exchange program in Germany. Every year, they enable more than 400 medical students to spend time abroad. They include the placement of the candidates as well as the organisation of on-site accommodation. The Exchange Program in Germany will take place in teaching hospitals. Whereas, the research Program is  arranged for different working groups or facilities with varying key research areas. Likewise, this year they are arranging Professional/Research/Public Health Exchange.

Moreover, The German medical students associations strongly believes in inter cultural exchange programs for better health care in future. International exchange, getting to know new people and cultures! In an increasingly interconnected world, health care needs to open up as well. For this reason, medical students in Germany have been involved in the association. Also, Students are involved in its predecessor associations for decades in order to provide their fellow students with international experience abroad . The Exchange program will help the participants in future both professionally and personally.

Additionally, The candidates applying should be a medical student enrolled at a German higher-education institution.

Program Period

The exchange program is for four weeks (clinical traineeship) and four to eight weeks for research- or public health exchange.
