Applications are now open for the University of Tubingen Winter School 2019. Tubingen is a top international university, which is clearly commit to common European values. These include, but are not limited to, the freedom of science and research, freedom of expression and expression, equality of all people and respect for human dignity, regardless of origin, religion, social status, gender, and sexual orientation. Further, the University of Tubingen is actively committed to the positive development of society and to peaceful coexistence, for the sustainable development of the economy and the protection of the environment. Also, This year the university is going to organize a winter school. The Winter School starts with a three-day stay at a seminar guesthouse.

Academic courses

  • Peace and Power-Sharing in the European Union: Institutions, Politics, and History
  • Regional Economic Integration: The Case of the EU

Excursions:

  • European Parliament in Strasbourg (1 day)
  • Likewise, The historic center and government district of Berlin (3 days)
  • European Central Bank in Frankfurt (1 day)
  • The capital of Baden-Württemberg Stuttgart (1 day)

Module “German Language and Culture”

  • No German? No problem!
  • German language courses on the proficiency levels A1-B2
  • Further, Workshop on intercultural competence

Financial support

Within the Winter School limited partial financial support in the form of a reduction of the program fee is available. Further,  the financial support is award on the basis of academic achievement and financial need and is grant only for participation in the Winter School. They will only consider applications including all required supplemental documents that reach the office by the extended application deadline of September 30, 2019, together with your application for the program.

Eligibility

The Winter School is design for undergraduate students from all over the world who wants to gain a basic knowledge of European politics and economics. Also, Admission criteria are mainly based on academic achievements and motivation for participating in the program.

Participants must at least 18 years old and must have a good command of English.
