Job Title: Intern  ‘Promotion of pan-African political dialogue through digital centers’

Your tasks

As an intern at ‘Promoting pan-African political dialogue through digital centers’, you will support the team from Eschborn in particular in the following tasks:

• Close involvement in the collaboration with the digital centers
• Additionally, analysis of the needs from the digital centers
• Similarly, support of internal and external communication, e.g. B. by writing intranet messages, newsletters, editorial preparation and graphic processing of short concepts, flyers, presentations, and press releases
• Also, support in knowledge management of the project (e.g. maintenance of data in databases (CMS, WordPress) and distributors, logging of important meetings and creation of instructions for important, recurring work processes)
• Likewise, conceptual and organizational preparation and implementation of events with cooperation partners in business, associations, civil society, and networks, including participant management, documentation, and other event management tasks

Your profile for Internship Opportunity at GIZ

• You have a bachelor’s degree in international relations, economics, politics, communication, social and/or humanities, related to promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and the digital economy
• Also, you are very interested in development policy issues, digital change and the use of digital solutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s)
• Likewise, they have good analytical and conceptual skills, bring a high degree of flexibility and commitment. Also, a self-organized, results-oriented and at the same time thorough way of working
• Also, you are fluent in German and English. French is an advantage; their written expression shows the ability to present complex facts in an understandable way
• They show strong communication skills, teamwork skills and a structured, independent and conscientious way of working
• Additionally, you have extensive knowledge of MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel; Knowledge of website maintenance (CMS) is an advantage
• Also, experience abroad (especially in Africa) and experience in project and innovation management
