Internship in CARE USA. CARE USA calls application for an enthusiastic and diligent intern to assist with the maintenance of existing knowledge management platforms, support in coordinating learning opportunities, help us build the portfolio of documents around our programming, and create dynamic communications materials regarding programs and key approaches and positions.

Responsibilities 

The candidate undertaking this internship in CARE USA will be liable for the following duties

  • Building and maintaining key knowledge management platforms, including regular updates of content on our existing CARE platforms. Similarly, playing a key role in migrating and organizing our content on a new platform.
  • Creating capacity statements on approach and impact areas in line with our Food and Water Systems’ (FWS) strategy.
  • Working with the FWS Directors to create and distribute the bi-monthly team newsletter.
  • Monitoring relevant sites and listservs for external sharing opportunities.
  • Supporting technical staff with the development of materials and their placement in professional circles (peer-reviewed journals, conferences, research reports, etc.).
  • Furthermore, assisting with other assigned duties as assigned.

Requirements 

  • A strong interest in writing, communication, knowledge management, and program design is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the global food and nutrition security context is required. Being able to communicate clearly and concisely and excellent writing skills are essential. Moreover, Spanish and/or French fluency is highly desireable.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Publisher and Powerpoint and should be experienced in interpreting statistics and adult teaching. In addition to that, familiarity with Sharepoint and social media platforms is a plus.
  • Furthermore, applicants should include a cover letter and writing sample in their applications.
