Duties and Responsibilities

The Data Management Analyst will report to the Program Specialist for Civil Society & Youth at the Bangkok Regional Hub, with close supervision from the Regional Youth Project Manager. This role involves collaboration with UNDP regional and country offices, ensuring the timely delivery of project components, and addressing potential risks or delays. The contract begins immediately upon signature.

• Database Management:
  • Act as primary data steward for YEP-AP.
  • Develop a scalable and sustainable data infrastructure for MEL using digital tools.
  • Map data flow and establish data management guidelines.
  • Create a Data Quality Assessment (DQA) plan and develop data products like tools, dashboards, and reports.
• Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL):
  • Facilitate capacity building activities on data privacy, digital products, and data review.
  • Support data tool administration and recruitment for data management roles.
  • Assist with MEL and knowledge management activities.
• Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI):
  • Ensure accessibility of data and digital products.
  • Provide feedback on DEI initiatives and support DEI activities.
• Knowledge Management:
  • Identify and share best practices and lessons learned.
  • Contribute to knowledge networks and communities of practice.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Skills and Experience for Data Management Analyst 2025

• Education:
  • An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in management information system, computer science, data science or any related fields to the scope of the assignment.
  • A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in management information system, computer science, data science or any related fields to the scope of the assignment in combination with additional 2 years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of Master’s degree.
• Experience:
  • Applicants with Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study are not required to have professional work experience. Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience at the national or international level in product development, data management or relevant related field is required.
  • Experience in product development, data analytics, and data management is required.
  • Experience in the usage and development of information systems, Microsoft suite and advanced data processing tools, and other digital products.
  • Extensive and proven knowledge of UNDP’s policies, procedures and practice including data principles and data privacy and protection is an asset
  • Experience in an international organization, UN agency or international NGO is an advantage.
• Required languages:
  • Excellent English language skills (particularly on written English) is required; Thai language skills would be an asset
