Application calls for Dell 2020 Summer Internship – SI Engineer in Taiwan

Position Summary 

Dell seeks bright and motivated engineers in the field of electrical and computer engineering to work on architecting and developing the next generation of computing servers. Specifically, the role will have the opportunity to work with the engineers in the fields of high-speed signal integrity with a system design focus for server platforms. The incumbent will join Dell’s Enterprise Signal Integrity Team (SI) Team. The team is responsible for driving innovation in the field of Signal Integrity pushing the boundaries of next-generation high-speed signaling. The team members have accomplished industry experts with multiple patents and publications. The SI team also focuses on innovative solutions around portfolio-wide transmission line challenges in the design and support of enterprise server platform development.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzing and modeling power distribution networks of high-speed servers.
• Similarly, analyzing the current return path and signal to noise coupling for single-ended and differential traces.
• Modeling as well as measuring PCB transmission lines, vias, connectors, cables, and flex cables.
• Furthermore, assisting in the design review of server platform board designs.

Requirements

• M.S. or B. S candidates in Electrical Engineering. In addition to that, knowledge of Signal Integrity theory/ Electromagnetic theory
• Matlab/HFSS/ADS skills preferred.
