IBA is accepting applications for a legal internship in Washington’s office. IBA is the world’s largest organisation of law societies, bar associations, law firms and also, individual lawyers.
The London office of IBA has 4 intake times each year where the minimum time requirement for the internship is 3 months. The intake is for fall (Aug/Sept-Dec); Spring (Jan-April/May) and lastly Summer (Mat-Aug). However, the application is on a rolling basis.
Developing concept papers and grant proposals in the field of international development
researching & writing remarks for conferences
also, assisting with logistics, media solicitations, panellist selection and support for conferences and round tables;
organising and contributing to IBA reports & internal research databases and analysing evolving trends in the legal profession or international development
In addition, assisting with expense logging and financial tracking, document creation, meeting preparation, recording of minutes, and outreach.
Required skills and Experience
Excellent research, writing and analysis skill
strong interpersonal oral and written skills
In addition, self-motivation and emotional intelligence are required.
mastery of computer/internet-based research is also required
experience in organising or contributing to workshops or seminars
experience abroad is an advantage
fluency in a foreign language is also an advantage

After the research, you should work on conveying your passion and motivation in your application and interview.
