SOS Children Village International invites applicants to apply for the Internship of Environmental Engagement in Austria. The internship will be 20 hours per week with a minimum contract for 2-3 months; starting date in Feb/Mar 2020. The duty station will be the SOS International Office Innsbruck/Austria.

As a non-governmental social development organization, SOS support children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health, and emergency relief, and we advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners.

Functions/Responsibilities

The Environmental Engagement Intern will be responsible for the data collection in order to create the annual environmental reports for the International Office. The annual environmental report is necessary for the EMAS certification. Basically, s/he will do a diverse range of interesting tasks in a leading INGO multicultural working environment. The incumbent will do the following other tasks

  • Collect data from invoices and put data form invoices into the key figure tables.
  • Check all information on the environmental handbook if they are still valid and actual as well as check the “Rechtsregister”/legal register.
  • Assist in creating the environmental report – together with our Communications & Brands team.
  • Furthermore, perform other duties if assigned.

Requirements 

In order to apply for this Internship for Environmental Engagement at SOS Children Village International in Austria, candidates musty have following eligibilities

  • Bachelor/Master student or recent graduate in the field of Business Administration, Environmental studies or similar.
  • Good command of German and English language skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and accurate working style as well as good knowledge of MS Office
  • A pro-active and independent style of working.
  • Furthermore, applicants must hold a valid Austrian working permit or be eligible to work within the EU.

Benefits/Compensation 

SOS Children’s Village International offers a fixed gross salary of € 1.050 per month on a full-time basis for their interns.
