Three internship positions are open in the Civil Society Unit (CSU), Office of the Director (OD), Division for Policy Analysis and Public Affairs (DPA), UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
Further Details About the Internship
All internships are for an initial period of four months with the opportunity of an extension to six months.
Interns will start working remotely from their country of residence until such time that the COVID situation allows safe travel and in-person internship.
The internship is UNPAID as well as full-time.
Interns work five days per week (40 hours).
Moreover, they will be under the supervision of a staff member in the office.
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent)
have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation
Also, be computer literate in standard software applications
Moreover, no working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme. Your training, education, advanced course work or skills should benefit the United Nations during your internship.
Languages
Fluency in English is necessary for the internship program. Knowledge of Arabic, French or Spanish is an advantage.
Internship Financial Notice
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs, as well as arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses, are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
