Mozilla is hiring Software Engineering Interns into technical teams throughout the world. Their headquarters are based in the Bay Area, but they also have opportunities at their office in Toronto.

They have 3 positions open for the following roles:

Android Intern (San Francisco CA, Toronto, ON, Canada)

The Android Product Team builds next generation browsers and apps on Android to help fulfill Mozilla’s mission. Candidates can expect to work on one or more of the following products, which are used by millions of users daily: Firefox Focus for Android; Firefox for Fire TV; Firefox for Echo Show and Firefox for Android.

Android Intern (Toronto, ON, Canada)

The Android Components team writes reusable software modules that are used in their Android applications. Candidates can expect to work on either new or existing components and also to work closely together with the Android Product Teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline with a focus on software development, with graduation dates starting December 2019 and onward
  • Or, a recent graduate from a Coding Academy (within last year)

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates should have:

  • Experience developing native Android Applications in Kotlin or Java.
  • The ability to learn and be effective with a large code base.
  • Reasonably fluent in and passionate about mobile technology and have excellent organization, time management, and interpersonal skills.
