IBM calls applications for Quantum Computing Researcher Summer Internship 2020 Ph.D. in New York, United States.
IBM Q interns are researchers, engineers, and developers from around the world who drive research and development of the industry’s most advanced quantum computing hardware and software and advance the entire quantum computing technology stack. From contributing to the open-source Qiskit framework to fundamental research in quantum computing to helping people understand the relevance of quantum computing, IBM Q interns gain valuable skills and experiences essential for future professional opportunities as well as continued studies.
IBM encourages graduate students from around the world with varying backgrounds and professional interests and curiosities to apply for this unique paid 2020 Summer Internship. The IBM Q internship program connects students with each other, with university programs, with IBM Q Network organizations, and with IBM Q Community members.
Summer 2020 interns will work out of the IBM Research lab in Yorktown Heights, New York for up to twelve weeks from June through August (housing or housing stipend, transportation, and some meals will be provided). Candidates will have an opportunity to discuss specific timing and academic calendars as part of the application process. Depending on the role, some travel may be involved in IBM Q Network and IBM Q Community events such as Qiskit Camp.
