Position Purpose:
The Partnerships & Communications Specialist at the Seoul Policy Centre (USPC) will drive partnerships, communications, and policy outcomes—focusing on private sector engagement and development. The Specialist will:
Build and manage partnerships with Korean public/private stakeholders, including donors.
Enhance USPC’s visibility through strategic messaging aligned with UNDP and SDG priorities.
Lead private sector engagement, leveraging Korean innovation and resources for sustainable development.
Collaborate across UNDP teams to deliver integrated policy, partnership, and communications support.
The role requires a strategic thinker who can strengthen donor relations, advise on policy, and amplify UNDP’s impact through targeted outreach.
Supervisory Role: Manages 3 team members (Private Sector Specialist, Youth Entrepreneurship Analyst, Outreach Analyst).

Master’s degree + 7 years of relevant experience OR
Bachelor’s degree + 9 years of relevant experience
(in communications, partnerships, or policy/programme support related to sustainable development/international cooperation)
Required:
Proven track record in communications strategies, partnership development, and donor engagement
Strong reporting, knowledge product development, and advocacy skills
Prior experience with international organizations (UNDP experience a plus)
Fluency in English and Korean (written & spoken)
Preferred Assets:
Experience in high-level event coordination, policy dialogue, and private sector engagement
Knowledge of ROK’s development cooperation landscape
Proficiency in digital tools (CMS, social media, web platforms)
Supervisory experience and technical expertise in private sector development
Language:
Working knowledge of another UN language is desirable
