Key Duties 

The candidate on Spectroscopy Internship at FHI 360 in the United States  will

• Learn and participate in the experimental design of pharmaceutical quality compliance.
• Gain an understanding of analytical chemistry and laboratory operations through the use of diffuse reflectance spectrometers.
• Provide clear and creative charts to model and summarize the analysis of spectroscopy data.
• Attend and participate in Technical Development team meetings
• Serve as a sounding board for experimental data collection and management.
• Help in researching topics as assigned, specifically peer-reviewed literature searches.
• Maintain accurate experimental details and results in a lab notebook.

Requirements

• Must be a member in good standing of a program in Pharmaceutical Sciences in the NC area.
• Interest in pharmaceutical sciences.
• A high degree of accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently.
• Basic analytical laboratory experience.

Learning Elements 

The candidate will gain practical experience to supplement academic studies by:

• Working with a global workforce.
• Working with open-sourced data analysis software such as ImageJ.
• The hands-on experience inside of a functioning quality compliance laboratory.
• Preparing a peer-reviewed manuscript.
