Uber has a vacant position for Strategy & Planning Internship in Amsterdam, Netherlands. As a Strategy & Planning intern you will work with the S&P team, and in close partnership with the region’s General Managers and functional leads to help with the strategic business planning process and orchestrate ground-breaking projects across different geographies and product lines. Based in Amsterdam, you will be working on scaling analyses and insights to improve the efficiency of our customer operations in EMEA.

About the Team

In EMEA Community Operations, it basically supports different internal (Operations, Compliance, etc.) and external partners (riders, eaters, restaurants, delivery-partners, driver-partners, etc.) partners with various issues or positive feedback via different channels. It develops healthy and positive relationships between customers and our brand, by listening and understanding our customers, and resolving issues (e.g. payment not going through, lost my phone in the car, etc.). Furthermore, it operates at a large scale and constant focus on operational excellence.

Role

Interns will drive core forecasting and planning processes, work on key initiatives related to strategic priorities, help build leading-edge cost advantage into our operations. Moreover, they will help identify strategic opportunities, navigate complexity and anticipate risks in our organization. In addition to that, they will interact with a number of teams, working closely with other Strategy & Planning teams, Finance, Regional Operations teams. Interns will have hands-on the following things

• Gain first-hand experience in operations in a sophisticated customer-facing organization.
• Assist Uber partners across sophisticated matrix organizations.
• Develop business cases to support investment decisions.
• Develop proficiencies in the Strategy & Planning sphere including but not limited to: critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, process excellence and collaboration.
• Manage the operational forecasting of our activities and staffing on the following scope: Greenlights (in-person agencies for our partners) and onboarding activities (restaurants and drivers).

Basic Qualifications

In order to apply for Uber Strategy & Planning Internship in the Netherlands, candidates must have the following qualifications

• Written and spoken fluency in English.
• Currently enrolled or graduated in the last 6 months in a Masters’s or Bachelors’s degree.
• Availability to work 6 months full time in 2021 starting September/October.
• Working rights in the Netherlands (No sponsorship available).
• Business Insight: Understanding and being fully aware of how the business operates as well as how it makes money and sustains profitable growth, now and in the future.
• Communication: Using communication skills and situational awareness to clearly deliver information to a variety of audiences.
