United Nations calls application for Environmental Affairs Internship in ESCAP East and North-East Asia (ENEA) Office located in Incheon, Republic of Korea. The appointment is for two months with an opportunity for extension up to six months as per the requirements of the division. The internship is unpaid and full-time. Furthermore, interns work five days per week (35 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the division or office to which they are assigned.
Basically, interns will be assigned to conduct research on energy security and environmental sustainability including through the North-East Asian Subregional Programme for Environmental Cooperation (NEASPEC, www.neaspec.org) and assist in the planning and implementation of activities. Specific topics and works will be mutually agreed upon with his/her supervisor. In particular, five thematic areas of NEASPEC are as follows:

Language: Fluency in spoken written English is required for the internship and also fluency in spoken and written any language of ENEA member countries preferred. In addition to that, knowledge of an additional official UN language is an asset. Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish are the official languages of the United Nations Secretariat
