The tenth session of Clark Model United Nations will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019, on Clark University’s campus in Worcester, MA. Further, Clark University is a rising liberal arts-based private research institution known for its passionate and close-knit student body, commitment to the community, and expansive opportunities afforded to undergraduates.  Moreover, News & World Report and #2 among Best Small Universities in the United States by Times Higher Education.​ Also, Centrally located in the heart of the Commonwealth, our growing conference draws hundreds of high school students from around the Northeast.

Moreover, With the highest ranked travel team of any university hosting a fall conference, Clark offers delegates the opportunity to learn from the best—whether experiencing Model UN for the first time, warming up after the summer, or preparing for other conferences in the spring semester. Additionally, Model United Nations at Clark University is a student-run organization that serves Clarkies interested in international relations. They are open to students of all majors and skill sets and offer opportunities to participate in experiential learning, academic gatherings, and social events.

Mission:

Additionally, Clark University’s motto is “Challenge Convention. Change Our World.”  It is with that in mind that we prepare unconventional and inventive scenarios each year that invite delegates to shape the course of world events. Also, Be it in a committee of the

  • United Nations General Assembly,
  • in a government cabinet, on a corporate board,
  • or in some other body,
  • students will learn to steer deliberations and lead decision-making by actually doing so. Along the way, they will also develop and hone their public speaking, writing, and negotiating skills.

Award:

  • The ClarkMUN Book Prize, which consists of a certificate and a book of the Secretary-General’s choosing, goes to the one delegate at the conference. To the one who writes the best position paper at ClarkMUN. The Book Prize is completely independent of delegate awards. So,  it neither disqualifies you from winning an award nor increases your likelihood of winning one. Also, It exists to recognize the very best of pre-conference delegate work. Also, guaranteeing that those who do write position papers can still be rewarded for their efforts.
