New York University’s Model United Nations (NYUMUNC) club is the premier collegiate Model United Nations organization in the greater New York City area. Moreover, there are primarily comprised of four major branches: Travel Team, Empire Model United Nations Conference (EmpireMUNC), New York University Model United Nations Conference (NYUMUNC), and the United Nations Initiative.

In addition, the Travel Team is an elite organization of some of the nation’s most talented debaters, ranked 13th in the North American collegiate circuit by Best Delegate. Also, the team travels to conferences across the nation and is led by their Head Delegates. NYUMUNC and EmpireMUNC are the club’s conferences serving the collegiate and high school competitive debate circuits, respectively.

Furthermore, NYUMUNC does an excellent job at preparing itself to manage a ten-way joint crisis. Also, the conference has a 2:1 delegate-to-staff ratio with all the crisis staffers divided into pods as well as coordinating from one central command. Customized software allows all committees to simultaneously see conference-wide BBC updates as well as specific committees to see cabinet-relevant updates; the crisis staff sees all of it

Moreover, they strive to provide delegates a modern system to debate, communicate, and problem solve on interesting and thought provoking topics. Likewise, their goal to empower delegates through realistic and fantastical committees provides an opportunity to delegates with different interests to continue to partake in stimulating debate.
