Applications are open for the 2021 Fully Funded Scholarship in USA.  The 2021 Fully Funded Scholarship in USA is offered by University of Miami as the First Year Merit Scholarships and is open to all nationalities.

University of Miami scholars are students from across the world whose varied experiences, achievements, and interests help cultivate the vibrant academic community that is the University of Miami. Many rise to the top of our applicant pool and demonstrate significant academic accomplishments in a challenging and well-rounded curriculum, strong work ethic, and meaningful participation in extracurricular activities.

Recipients are notified of their award at the time of admission and may receive only one merit scholarship from the Office of Undergraduate Admission.

2021 Fully Funded Scholarship in USA list

The Stamps Scholarship is UM’s most prestigious merit award available to students at the University of Miami. This scholarship is awarded to exceptional and academically accomplished high school seniors.

Stamps Scholars receive the full cost of attendance for four years of undergraduate study at UM. The award includes tuition and fees, on-campus housing, a meal plan, University health insurance, textbooks, a laptop allowance, and access to a $12,000 enrichment fund which may be used toward study abroad, undergraduate research, unpaid internships, and other educational purposes.

Stamps Scholars receive a merit award equivalent to the full cost of attendance for four years of undergraduate study. The award includes tuition and fees, on-campus housing, a meal plan, University health insurance, textbooks, a laptop allowance, and access to a $12,000 enrichment fund, which may be used toward study abroad, undergraduate research, unpaid internships, and other educational pursuits. (Enrichment fund expenses are subject to prior approval by the Office of the Provost.)

Additional benefits of the Stamps Scholarship include being part of the Stamps Scholars on-campus and national communities, funding to support academic and scientific research projects, cultural and leadership programs, study abroad, conventions and other regional conferences, and invitations to online events and networking opportunities.

Fully Funded Scholarships at University Of Alberta in Canada

Eligibility Criteria

Early Decision I and Early Action applicants are automatically considered when they apply for early admission to UM by submitting all First-Year Admission Requirements by November 1.  

Selection Process

Selected semi-finalist candidates for the Stamps Scholarship are asked to write a short response to a pre-determined essay prompt.

Finalists will be selected based on a review of candidates’ application and supporting documents, including their response to the pre-determined essay prompt, and notified of their status as finalists at the time of admission in late January.

Finalists will be interviewed by the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation thereafter and Stamps Scholarship announcements will be made in early March. Stamps Scholarship recipients will be required to participate in the University of Miami’s scholarship program, which will be held in early April. During this program, candidates will meet with UM faculty and current scholars and learn more about our interest-driven education.

The Isaac Bashevis Singer Scholarship, named after Isaac Bashevis Singer, a Nobel Prize-winning author who was a lecturer at UM, is one of the premier scholarships available to students at the University of Miami. This scholarship is awarded to exceptional and academically accomplished high school seniors.

Singer Scholars receive the full cost of tuition for four years of undergraduate study at UM.

Full Scholarship at University of Massachusetts Boston in the USA

Eligibility Criteria

Early Decision I and Early Action applicants are automatically considered when they apply for early admission to UM by submitting all First-Year Admission Requirements by November 1.

Selected candidates for the Singer Scholarship are prompted to submit an essay for consideration as finalists. The Selection Committee will review all essay submissions and identify the finalists whom they recommend to receive the Singer Scholarship.

Recipients ofthe Singer Scholarship will be invited to participate in the University of Miami’s scholarship program, which will be held in early April. During this program, candidates will meet with UM faculty and current scholars and learn more about our interest-driven education.

The Ronald A. Hammond Scholarship, which honors the legacy of the University’s first director of minority affairs, is one of the premier scholarships available to students at the University of Miami. This scholarship is awarded to diverse high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence and who intend to continue their academic pursuits through graduate education.

In addition to the criteria listed below, eligible students are required to apply for Early Decision I or Early Action and must submit all First-Year Admission Requirements by the November 1 deadline.

Jenkins Scholars receive the full cost of attendance for four years of undergraduate study at UM. The award includes tuition and fees, on-campus housing, a meal plan, University health insurance, and a laptop allowance. Students may also receive a stipend for books, transportation, and personal expenses.

Scholarships at University of Melbourne in Australia | Fully Funded

With the support of the Office of Academic Enhancement, Jenkins Scholars take part in exclusive programs, benefit from one-on-one advising, participate in group community service efforts, and are personally referred for additional prestigious academic opportunities.

Recipients will be notified of a decision by April 1.

How to Apply

1. Guidance counselors must nominate their student via the Counselor Nomination Form by December 1.

2. Nominated students must submit an additional essay through the applicant portal by December 1. In 800 words or less, the essay should address the following, with significant emphasis on the third point:

  • Why they wish to attend the University of Miami.
  • How receiving the George W. Jenkins Scholarship would impact them.
  • Any special circumstances they faced, specifically any history of overcoming significant adversity.

Students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the CSS Profile no later than December 1.

If any required materials are missing, students may not be eligible for scholarship consideration.

Eligibility Criteria

In addition to the criteria listed below, eligible students are required to submit all First-Year Admission Requirements by November 1 if applying under the Early Decision I or Early Action deadline or December 1 if applying under the Early Decision II or Regular Decision deadline.

Residency

Open only to U.S. citizens who are residents of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Virginia, graduating from an accredited high school within their home state.

Academics

Minimum unweighted GPA of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale and a well-rounded college preparatory curriculum are required.

Personal History

Participation in school or community activities, a strong work ethic, and a history of overcoming significant adversity will be considered.
