Under the provision of Coursework Scholarships, Bursaries and Grants Policy, James Cook University (JCU) is awarding William Thomas Williams Honours Bursary. The Honours scholarship is available to outstanding candidates at James Cook University pursuing Bachelor of Creative Media Honours (music, sound, and moving image). Furthermore, JCU offers a range of competitive scholarships for domestic and international applicants. JCU Scholarship for Creative Media has been possible due to the graceful contribution of William Thomas Williams.

James Cook University Creative Media Scholarship

The candidate successful to receive the William Thomas Williams Honours Bursary will receive a scholarship of amount $10,000 in Creative Media. Moreover, the scholarship is tenable for the duration of 1 year.

Eligibility for Creative Media Scholarship

The William Thomas Williams Honours Bursary shall be open to competition among candidates who:

• are Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or international students;
• Further, the candidate must meet the entry requirements as the state for the degree; and
• Also, they must possess excellent qualities for academic ability and leadership, as demonstrated by their academic record, work experience and, at the opinion of the selection committee, a personal interview.

Selection Criteria

The William Thomas Williams Awards Committee will select the winner on the basis of academic merit. Moreover, the candidate successful to receive the scholarship award must demonstrate excellent qualities for academic ability and leadership.

However, the Selection Committee reserves the right not to award a Scholarship in any year if, in the opinion of the Selection Committee, there is no candidate of sufficient merit to warrant an award.

To apply for the Creative Media Scholarship at James Cook University, applicants must complete and submit the online application form. Moreover, the candidates should also submit the following documents along with the application:

Applications submitted without the relevant documentation are invalid for the William Thomas Williams Honours Bursary.

Deadline

James Cook University accepts the application for the William Thomas Williams Creative Media Scholarship until 30 September 2019. Application arriving after the deadline are not eligible for the scholarship consideration.
