About the School of Social Sciences (SSS)

NTU’s School of Social Sciences has nearly 100 faculty members and more than 1,700 undergraduates who major in the four-degree programmes the School offers: Economics, Psychology, Public Policy and Global Affairs, and Sociology. There are more than 180 graduate students in our PhD and MA programmes (by research), and MSc programmes in Applied Economics and Gerontology. Job Description

The Economic Growth Centre Trainee at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore will

• The Trainee will have the opportunity to be exposed to research projects under the Economic Growth Centre.
• Coordinate day-to-day research activities (e.g., correspond with stakeholders, book facilities, data management etc).
• Conduct a literature review and searches.

Additional Duties

Under the supervision, the Economic Growth Centre Trainee at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore will

• Prepare surveys and experiments, including programming of surveys and experiments.
• Conduct surveys and experiments.
• Analyse data collected from the literature review, surveys and experiments.
• Assist in writing publication journal articles, manuscripts, reports and proposals.
• Performing other related duties assigned in support of the research projects and the operations of the Economic Growth Centre.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics or related discipline.
• Basic understanding of social science research and analytical skills.
• Attention to details and procedures.
• Effective communication and report writing skills.
• Student project experience would be most welcome.
