Applications are open for Postdoctoral Fellowship in Korean Social Sciences at Indiana University. The Institute for Korean Studies at Indiana University announces a two-year Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Korean Social Sciences to begin August 2021.

The post-doctoral fellow will be expected to teach one course per year for the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures (including significant coverage of North Korean issues), and present his or her research once as part of the Institute for Korean Studies colloquium series. Indiana University’s Korean studies program is a vibrant intellectual community and focuses on the training and mentoring of young scholars.

Criteria

Application criteria for applying for this Postdoctoral Fellowship in Korean Social Sciences at Indiana University

  • Applicants in the following disciplines are welcome to apply: anthropology, economics, sociology, and political science.
  • Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. in hand by the date of appointment.

Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, sample syllabi, writing sample, diversity statement and three academic letters of reference online at (https://indiana.peopleadmin.com/postings/10584).

In the cover letter, please describe the two classes you propose to teach, as well as the ways in which your teaching and research interests will contribute to the Korean studies program at Indiana University. In addition to that, applicants must submit their diversity statement in the required document heading “Other”
