The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) fully funded CAORC Senior Research Fellowship supports advanced research in the humanities. Fellowship awards are for four to six consecutive months (i.e. you can hold the fellowship for four, five, or six consecutive months). Furthermore, the selected fellows receive an award of $5,000 per month.
Fellows can choose among any of the fields relating to humanities including history, philosophy, religious studies, literature, literary criticism, and visual and performing arts. In addition, NEH prefers research that embraces a humanistic approach and methods.
Applicants must propose four consecutive months of research in an American overseas research center. Moreover, the applicants can choose from countries: Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Cyprus, Georgia; Indonesia, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, Senegal, Sri Lanka or Tunisia. Fellows may travel and carry out research for four to six consecutive months between the period of May 2020 to November 2021. Also, the fellows should note that they must work on their research full-time during their period of funding.
The recipient of CAORC Research Fellowship awards will receive $5,000 per month to provide support towards living expenses.
