The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), Government of Italy, invites applications from international students to study in Italy. Moreover, the Italian Government also provides fully funded scholarships for international students. The scholarship is in favor of foreign citizens not residing in Italy and Italian citizens living abroad (IRE) for the academic year 2019-2020. The Italian Government aims to foster international cultural, scientific and technological cooperation as well as promote Italian language and culture with these scholarships. Further, these scholarships will help elevate Italy’s economic system in the world.
Committee set up by the Italian Diplomatic Mission will evaluate if the candidates are eligible for the fully funded Italian Government scholarships. Successful candidates will receive a full scholarship including payment for enrollment as well as tuition fee depending on the policy of each university. However, students taking courses in Italian language and culture are due to pay the enrollment fee.
Further, the Italian Government MAECI will cover the student’s medical/accidental insurance for the duration of the scholarships. Also, the successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of €900 on a quarterly basis. The stipend is payable to their Italian bank account.
The application process for the Italian Government Scholarships requires candidates to submit an online registration form. Grants will be awarded on the basis of a comparative assessment of applications according to the entry requirements and other criteria related to the applicant’s cv.
Applicants will receive the scholarship for a period of study from 1 January to 31 October 2020.
Applicants wishing to apply for the fully funded Italian Government Scholarships may do so no later than May 30th, 2019, 2 p.m. C.E.T. Applications arriving postdeadline are not eligible for consideration of the scholarship.
