Marshall Scholarships finance young students of high ability to study for a degree in the United Kingdom in a system of higher education recognized for its excellence. Founded by a 1953 Act of Parliament, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and commemorate the humane ideals of the Marshall Plan conceived by General George C Marshall funds the Marshall Scholarships. To be eligible for a 2020 Marshall Scholarship, candidates must:
To apply for a Marshall Scholarship, an eligible candidate must fill out the online application form. The application form is available at the Marshall Scholarship website. Only, a completed application is valid for scholarship consideration. A completed application requires candidates to fill out all the details in the form.
After completing the online application, the candidates will submit it to their undergraduate institution for endorsement. The institution will add an additional endorsement letter before forwarding the final application. However, one should note that an undergraduate institution may only endorse up to 24 students.
The deadline to submit an application for the fully funded Marshall Scholarships is until 30 September 2019. After the deadline, the application is considered invalid.
