Application open for Newcastle University Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships. Newcastle University (legally the University of Newcastle upon Tyne) is a public research university in Newcastle. Further, upon Tyne in the North East of England. Additionally,  The university can trace its origins to a School of Medicine and Surgery (later the College of Medicine). Also, established in 1834, and to the College of Physical Science (later renamed Armstrong College), founded in 1871. Further,  These two colleges came to form one division of the federal University of Durham. Also, With the Durham Colleges forming the other. Also, The Newcastle colleges merged to form King’s College in 1937. In 1963, following an Act of Parliament, King’s College became the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Moreover, There are 13 50% tuition fee scholarships and 2 100% tuition scholarships. the Faculty of Medical Sciences; and the Faculty of Science, Agriculture, and Engineering. Further, The Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships offers around 175 full-time undergraduate degree programs in a wide range of subject areas spanning arts, sciences, engineering, and medicine, Further, together with approximately 340 postgraduate taught and research programs across a range of disciplines.

Eligibility

For 50% of  tuition fees

  •  for the 50% of scholarships applicants:
  • be a national of one of the following countries: Algeria, Egypt, India, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mauritius, Morocco, Turkey, and the USA
  • be as international for fee purposes
  • Further, hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree program at the University’s Newcastle city center campus for the 2019/20 academic year
  • already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent

100% tuition fees

  • To be considered for the 100% scholarships applicants must:
  • be a national of one of the following countries: USA, India
  • be assessed as international for fee purposes
  • hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree program at the University’s Newcastle city center campus for the 2019/20 academic year
