Scuola Normale Superiore invites applications for fully funded Philosophy PhD scholarship in Italy. Moreover, the university offers this position to 6 candidates. Each receiving candidates will get a full ride scholarship that will enable them to finance their PhD studies in Italy. Further, the students may receive additional funding to conduct their research.

What is the value of Fully Funded Philosophy PhD Scholarships?

The prospective scholars may receive a fully funded Philosophy PhD scholarships of the amount €17,000. The scholarship is payable towards the tuition fee for PhD program in Italy. However, scholars may request the amount, within the reasonable limit for lodging allowance.

Further, the scholars may also file for reimbursement for travel expenses incurred for the start of the course, up to a maximum limit of € 1,000.

Who is eligible for the Philosophy PhD scholarships?

Scuola Normale Superiore provides fully funded scholarships to all candidates in PhD in Philosophy program. Hence, to be eligible for PhD in Philosophy, students must meet the following stated criteria.

• to be born after 31 October 1989;
• Scholars may be from any nation.
• to have no convictions that have been res judicata for a term of imprisonment of more than three years
• not to have been subject to “expulsion”, a disciplinary sanction provided for in the educational regulations of the SNS
• those who have obtained a master’s degree in Italy or equivalent qualification in a non-Italian university by October 31, 2019;
• not to be in possession of a Ph.D. qualification issued by an Italian university, and in any case not to have benefited from a scholarship to attend a Ph.D. program in Italy

How to apply for Scuola Normale Superiore Phd in Italy?

Scholars may complete the application process for the Scuola Normale Superiore PhD program online. While filling up the online application form, the students must provide their general information and the course they wish to pursue. Further, prospective scholars must also nominate two referees. Also, applicants need to take Admission Tests.

Applicants should attach the necessary documentation required for admission in the Philosophy PhD program. The documentation includes

• a copy of a valid identity document (passport)
• A CV, written in the Europass-CV format
• the master’s degree thesis, including an abstract written in English. However, the candidates still in the process of completing their master’s degree must submit an extended abstract.
• the diploma supplement or other equivalent documentation relating to the exams taken as well as the degree results obtained.

The deadline for the Philosophy PhD scholarships in Italy is 11:59 pm (CEST) on Thursday, 29 August 2019. Scuola Normale Superiore doesn’t entertain applications arriving after the deadline.
