Applications are open for fully funded Scholarship in Belgium. The two-year European Master of Science in Food Science, Technology and Business (BiFTec). Further, it is jointly organized by three European partner institutions. Namely, KU Leuven, Anhalt University of Applied Sciences (HSA) and Catholic University of Portugal (UCP). Founded in 1425, KU Leuven has been a center of learning for almost six centuries. As a leading European research university and co-founder of the League of European Research Universities (LERU), KU Leuven offers a wide variety of programmes in English supported by high-quality interdisciplinary research. It fosters innovation and technology to help you cope with future needs and sustainability. Further, within our FOOD4S (“food force”) paradigm: Sustainable Food Systems Science and Engineering.

Moreover, BiFTec adopts a transversal and multidisciplinary approach to a broad range of topics related to the 4S pillars Science (Food Science & Engineering Technology), Sustainability (Sustainable Food Product & Food Process Design), Safety (Food Safety & Quality), and Simulation (Computational Food Science & Technology). More in-depth, courses, a professional competence module, and an MSc thesis project allow for specialization in the domains of Innovative Technology, Energy & Food Chains, Risk & Safety, and Sustainable Food Production & Business. Also, Upon successful graduation, you will receive a joint degree.

BiFTec, Scholarship in Belgium attracts students from all over the world. which adds a valuable intercultural element to your experience. In addition, positions offered directly by the consortium partners, you will get the opportunity to conduct your professional competence module. Also, your master’s thesis research at an associated partner institution or organization. The deadline is for EEA citizens on a self-paying basis.

Eligibility

  • has obtained a bachelor’s degree in food science and technology, chemistry, biological sciences, engineering, or a related field from a recognized academic institution
  • An equivalent qualification of academic level representing an accumulation of at least 240 ECTS credits with a minimum of Grade C classification
  • Evidence of your English proficiency.
