Applications are now open for the Fully Funded Te Huarau Scholarship 2020. The Te Huarau scholarship is design to assist applicants in studying to teach any subject in any sector. Further, Undergraduate or graduate, if you are enrolled in, or plan to enroll in, any approved teaching programme this could be the scholarship for you!
As a Te Huarau Scholar, you gain access to many benefits.

Benefit

  • The scholarships support you on your journey towards being a great teacher. They can cover the cost of your course fees also pay you an allowance throughout the duration of your study program
  • Course fees to study an approved teaching qualification
  • an allowance of $10,000 over the period of your study (limited to four years)

Eligibility

  • Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
  • Enroll in applied for, or be intending on enrolling in an approve qualification.
  • Applications are award by an independent panel after each application round.
  • As well as judging an application on its merit the panel also consider how an application aligns with the aims of the scholarship programme.

Application process

  • There’s a huge range of study options available, so use this search tool to help you choose a programme that suits you. All the programmes there will lead to teacher registration also all the providers are fully accredit to offer these qualifications.
  • Once you’ve chosen a course, contact the relevant tertiary provider. They’ll be able to give you more information about their qualifications, entry criteria, application forms, and study dates. Please be aware, that due to the limited availability of the Te Huarau Scholarship (130) they may all be allocated before the third round.
  • Further, They hold cultural competencies, passion and life experience in the same regard as your academic history.
  • Their application form is design to let you show this off!
  • You can apply for multiple scholarships, but can only be granted one. Part-time options are available.
