The fully Funded International scholarship is available at the University of Canterbury. Moreover, the scholarship is available for the first-year undergraduate student. Further, the university provides this international scholarship on the basis of merit. Hence, top-ranked candidate(s) may receive the University of Canterbury International Scholarship. A successful candidate will have either already accepted or will have qualified to be offered, a University of Canterbury Scholarship.

Fully Funded University of Canterbury International Scholarship

The candidates successful to receive the fully funded International Scholarship at the University of Canterbury will receive an amount of $10,000 – $20,000. Moreover, the scholarship is tenable for the duration of one year.

Eligibility for Fully Funded International Scholarship

Recipients must be full-fee-paying international students. Moreover, the applicants may not be citizens of New Zealand or Australia; Permanent Residents of Australia; or holders of New Zealand residence class visas.

Applicants must be completing, or have completed on or after 1 January of the year before the year of application, a university entrance-level qualification that permits entry into a University of Canterbury undergraduate degree program. Such students who are undertaking, or have completed, a programme at the UC International College are eligible to apply.

Furthermore, applicants, by the closing date for the round in which they are applying, must have applied for admission to the University. However, the scholarship is not tenable by students who have already undertaken partial study in an undergraduate degree program at a New Zealand tertiary institution.

How to apply for the International Scholarship at the University of Canterbury

Candidates must be eligible before applying for the International Undergraduate scholarship at the University of Canterbury. Moreover, the candidates should also apply for the undergraduate program at the University. Only then, the candidates can apply for the Scholarship by completing and submitting the online application form. Along with the application form, the candidates must also submit the necessary documentation, including a CV, letter of interest, necessary academic transcripts and letter of recommendations.

Deadline

The University of Canterbury will accept the application for the fully funded International Student for the undergraduate program until 31 October 2019. Applications arriving after the deadline are invalid.
