Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science at University of Copenhagen is offering a PhD scholarship in Electrochemistry commencing 1 February 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Project description
The research focuses on the preparation and characterization nanostructured multi-metallic electro-catalysts for different electro-catalytic reactions.

Job description

The position is available for a 3-year period and your key tasks as a PhD student at SCIENCE are:

  • To manage and carry through your research project
  • Also, attend PhD courses
  • Furthermore, write scientific articles and your PhD thesis
  • Teach and disseminate your research
  • To stay at an external research institution for a few months, preferably abroad
  • Also, work for the department

Eligibility for Fully Funded Scholarships Denmark

  • Obtained a MSc degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Nanoscience, Materials Science or related areas
  • Additionally, background in fundamental aspects of electrochemistry, electrodeposition and electro-catalysis
  • Also, experience in electrochemical methods
  • Excellent communication skills, and excellent spoken and written English
  • Furthermore, be well-motivated, willing and able to work as part of an international team at the University of Copenhagen and to supervise MSc and BSc students
  • As criteria for the assessment, emphasis will be also laid on previous publications in the field of electrochemistry or electro-catalysis.

Benefits

The starting salary is currently at a minimum DKK 331,125 (approx. €43,750) including annual supplement (+ pension at a minimum DKK 53,811). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
