Applications for the Education for Sustainable Energy Development (ESED) scholarship for the year 2020 will open in January of 2020. Moreover, the Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership offers Education for Sustainable Energy Development (ESED) scholarship to inspires the next generation of innovators and thinkers to create a sustainable future. In particular, this scholarship is an opportunity for masters students from developing countries to foster their career and study in sustainable energy development.

Eligibilities

Candidate must be undertaking masters-level studies in the fields of zero-carbon energy, smart grids, electric transportation, energy storage, advanced electricity technologies, public policy, economics, law, political science, or other relevant fields. In addition to that, s/he must be pursuing full-time studies for at least one full school year (two or three semesters), beginning in autumn 2020. Students in the second year of a two-year program are eligible to apply if meet the requirement.

  • Applicants must be a citizen of a developing country/territory.
  • S/he must have a commitment to returning to their home country after their studies to contribute to its development.
  • Be an outstanding student and graduates with excellent grades in the top 20% of their class.
  • Similarly, the candidate must have a commitment to sustainable energy development and should have a history of community involvement.
  • Furthermore, s/he must have the determination to advance their knowledge and understanding in a particular field.

Funding/Financial Aid

The Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership offers 6 to 8 Education for Sustainable Energy Development Scholarship in a year. Moreover, the maximum award of the scholarship is up to $ 21,000 per year which can be for two years.

Application deadline

Application for the 2020-2021 scholarship will be open from early January to March 6, 2020.
