Are you a mid-career professional with leadership potential? Here’s your chance to advance your career and gain international exposure — the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship 2026 is now accepting applications!
This prestigious fully funded fellowship brings professionals from around the world — including Pakistani nationals — to the United States for 10–12 months of non-degree academic study, leadership development, and professional collaboration. Supported by the U.S. Department of State and administered in Pakistan by the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP), the program covers all expenses, including tuition, accommodation, insurance, and travel.
Eligibility Criteria for Hubert Humphrey Fellowship
To be eligible, all applicants must show a strong commitment to serving Pakistan and hold Pakistani citizenship.
Candidates must have completed 16 years of education, either through a four-year Bachelor’s degree or a combination of a two-year Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree.
Similarly, they should have an 8-18 years of progressively responsible professional/work experience.
Successful candidates should be willing to take on leadership roles in their respective fields.
A record of public service in the community.
A guarantee of re-employment upon return to Pakistan is also an essential requirement of the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship in USA.
Proficiency in spoken and written English is also essential.
Moreover, applicants who lack management experience or similar responsibilities in academia or research roles, or those who have attended graduate school in the US within the last seven years are ineligible.
Employees of Fulbright Organization or US Department of State cannot apply. Applicants who have dual US/Pakistani nationality are also not eligible.
The fully funded fellowship grant covers the cost of tuition fees for the program.
Applicants also receive funding for airfare expenses. Hence, facilitating travel to and from the host institution or destination.
The Hubert Humphrey Fellowship grant also includes allowance for purchasing textbooks and academic materials necessary for the recipient’s studies.
In addition, they receive a living stipend to cover expenses.
The grant includes coverage for health insurance.
The Humphrey Fellowship is an excellent opportunity for Pakistani students to study in USA and participate in an exchange program in the United States.
