Applications have opened for the International Scholarships in the UK at the University of Leeds. Interested candidates can apply until 31st March 2020.

  • Liberty Scholarship in the School of Law at the University of Leeds welcomes all international students for applying for this exciting opportunity.
  • A maximum of 10 partial-fee scholarships are available to encourage students applying for a taught master’s course.

The applicants must meet the following requirements for the International Scholarships in the UK at the University of Leeds

  • Hold a conditional or unconditional offer for a School of Law Taught Masters program for 2020 entry.
  • Also, the candidates should demonstrate an excellent previous academic track record.
  • In addition to that, they should demonstrate the potential to contribute to the academic and cultural life of the School of Law.
  • Furthermore, the applicants should be “international” for fee purposes.

Value of Scholarship

  • The successful recipients of the scholarship will receive £5,000 towards international fees.

Application Procedure

The University awards the scholarships in a competitive process on the basis of academic performance in the candidates’ undergraduate degree plus the strength of their supporting statement accompanying their scholarship application. The candidates should fill the application form with other details.

  • If their scholarship application is successful, they must confirm acceptance within two weeks of notification of the award.
  • Also, they must commence their study with the University by registering no later than 1 October in the academic year for which the award is offered.
  • Additionally, those in receipt of an award via one of the School’s collaborative agreements are not eligible.
  • Furthermore, the candidates cannot deffer the scholarship offers.

  • The University of Leeds is a redbrick university located in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England.
  • Also, originally it was named the Yorkshire College of Science and later simply the Yorkshire College.
  • It incorporated the Leeds School of Medicine and became part of the federal Victoria University alongside Owens College (which eventually became the University of Manchester) and University College Liverpool (which became the University of Liverpool).
  • Additionally, in 1904, a royal charter, created in 1903, was granted to the University of Leeds by King Edward VII.
