The University of Auckland is offering scholarships to support the tuition fee of 10 students of Masters degree within the Art Faculty.

The main purpose of the Scholarship is to support international students enrolled in a master’s degree in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Auckland.

Benefits

Up to ten scholarships will be awarded annually, each for a period of one year, and will be of the value of up to
$10,000 per annum each.

The Scholarship may be held concurrently with any other scholarship, award, or grant as long as the regulations for
that scholarship, award, or grant permits, and the University of Auckland Council is informed and approves.

Eligibility

Candidates must be enrolled and have paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for full-time enrolment in a Master of Arts, Master of Conflict and Terrorism Studies, Master of Creative Writing, Master of Indigenous Studies, Master of Literature, Master of Public Policy, Master of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, Master of Theology or Master of Translation in the Faculty of Arts, at the University of Auckland.

The Scholarship is tenable to international students only.

Recipients enrolled in a two-year master’s program may reapply in the following year.

Selection Criteria

The basis of selection will be academic merit, measured by the grade point average (GPA) or grade point equivalent
(GPE) assessed over the applicant’s most recent qualifying program.

Applicants must have a GPA/GPE of 7.00 or above in their most recent qualifying program to be eligible for scholarship consideration (see Note II).

Dates and Deadlines

Opening date: 30 March 2022 and 19 September 2022
Closing date: 11 May 2022 (Semester Two) and 31 October 2022 (Semester One)

  5. Moreover, we recommend you do not have two different scholarship applications open within the same browser.
  6. Outcomes are determined by a selection committee and are usually notified around six weeks after the closing date.
