Jeff Schell Scholarship is open for application. The students receiving Jeff Schell Scholarship must demonstrate a pioneering spirit for science and society. Moreover, they should have above-average study grades, a high level of motivation and a compelling individual project idea aimed at developing new agricultural solutions to help provide ample, nutritious and safe food for a growing world population as well as a high level of motivation.

The beneficiary of Jeff Schell Scholarship can use this amount for special study courses, individual laboratory assignments, summer schools, research classes, internships, or Masters or Ph.D. theses.

The Jeff Schell Scholarship is open to students of:

  • Agricultural sciences and agronomy
  • Crop protection, seeds, and green biotechnology
  • Environmental sciences and agricultural sustainability

Benefits:

You can use the Jeff Schell Scholarship for special study courses, individual lab assignments, summer schools, research classes, internships, Masters or Ph.D. theses. Scholarships are granted to students and young professionals (up to two years after graduation) from Germany wishing to realize a study or research project abroad or to foreign students/young professionals pursuing a project in Germany. Moreover, € 300,000 funds are available for research scholarships in various fields.

 

Eligibility:

  • Young science pioneers get support for an individual compelling project idea in agricultural engineering & plant biotechnology.
  • Likewise, University students aged 18-28 from German-speaking countries can apply to research abroad. Foreign students are sponsored to follow a creative idea in Germany.
  • Also, Crops need to be more efficient and better protected in the future. Work on your own solution to help provide nutritious and safe food for a growing world population.

 

How To Apply?

All applicants should have a high level of commitment, dedication, and innovative project plan. Students and young professionals (up to two years after graduation) from Germany wishing to realize a study or research project abroad or to foreign students/young professionals pursuing a project in Germany will receive this scholarship.

  • Confirmation letter from the foreign host institute/university on the planned project from September 2019 to August 2020
  • Further, A description of the project (duration of 2-12 months) with the financial plan within the timeline of September 2018 to August 2019. The project can consist of special study courses, laboratory assignments, research projects, summer classes, internships, Masters or Ph.D. programs.
  • Similarly, Most recent transcripts
  • Moreover, Any additional documents that would enhance the application
  • Also, Job application photo (no photo of your passport, please)
  • Finally, a CV
  • The amount per fellowship is individual but limited per 20,000€ per request.
