Among a range of scholarship programs, IMD offers MBA scholarship for international women with the aim of increasing women’s participation in business as much as their male counterpart.

IMD is committed to fostering the growth in diversity through our merit and need-based MBA scholarships. These include one full scholarship and four 80% scholarships. Additionally, it provides various scholarships targeting specific groups. Among them, IMD MBA scholarship for international women is funded by several donor organization. Furthermore, Stewart Hamilton Scholarship for women and Nestlé Scholarship for Women are its prestigious awards that focus on empowering women in the field of business and leadership.

 

Stewart Hamilton Scholarship for women

Bursary Amount: CHF 50K

Criteria:

  • be a female citizen of a developing country with a strong overall application
  • Reflect upon the case study ‘Hollinger and the Downfall of Conrad Black’.
  • Also, Submit a 750-word essay on What, in your view, were the failings in the Hollinger corporate governance system? What personal learnings have you drawn from your analysis of the case study?

Nestlé Scholarship for Women

Bursary Amount: CHF 25K 

Criteria:

  • Moreover, Women from developing countries will gain preference.
  • Submit a 750-word essay on: “Many have argued that greater diversity in the top management team of an organization is good for profits and customers. What would you recommend as ways to achieve greater diversity?”
  • However, Employees of Nestlé or its subsidiaries are not eligible.

Requirements:

Throughout the admissions process, we are looking for a holistic overview of your academic ability, career progression, achievements, leadership capacity, international outlook, integrity, drive, initiative, and interpersonal skills. We want to know what you will contribute to the learning experience of your classmates and to the future of business and society.

For scholarship applications you will need to submit our MBA Financial Aid form with the following supporting documents: yearly proof of salary, tax return form, latest bank account statements. Furthermore, the listed documents must be included in your application.

Bachelor’s Degree: your degree should come from an accredited school

Work Experience: we require a minimum of three years, full-time, postgraduate experience so that you can demonstrate your career progress. The typical range in the class is four to nine years.

Two Recommenders: choose people from business-related sources who know you well, have worked directly with you. Moreover, they can highlight your professional achievements, interpersonal skills, teamwork, and leadership, using our form.

GMAT/GRE: the average GMAT score in the class is typically around 680. While your unique experience and achievements can help balance out a weaker score, we recommend that you aim for above a 630 (or an equivalent GRE score). Please ensure you list IMD as a receiver of your score.

TOEFL/IELTS: the entire program is taught in English. If English is not your native language and you have not previously studied in English, then you will need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score. However, there is no minimum requirement. Ideally, we recommend 108+ on the TOEFL (IBT) or an IELTS score of 7.5 or above. Our TOEFL IBT Code is – DI (C301).
