Eligibility 

  • The Prize for the full-time student who is a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident and in the first year of a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Arts conjoint degree at the University of Auckland who achieves the highest grade in HISTORY 104 Pacific History: An Introduction.
  • Additionally, in the event of a tie, the University will give away the Prize to the student receiving the highest mark in HISTORY 104.

Value of Scholarship

  • The University will award the One Hugh Laracy Pacific History Memorial Prize 2020 to the value of the NZD 500.

Furthermore, the University of Auckland Council will award the Hugh Laracy Pacific History Memorial Prize 2020 upon the recommendation of the Deputy Head (Academic) of the School of Humanities.
