Details

The applications for the NCUK Merit Scholarship in the UK have opened. Interested candidates can apply until 4th May 2020. The scholarship is offered for Bachelors’s, Masters’s degrees in the field of all subjects except Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Sheffield. The program is starting in September 2020.

Eligibility

The applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the NCUK Merit Scholarship.

  • This scholarship is open for non-EU nationals.
  • The candidates must be currently studying at an NCUK Study Centre.
  • In addition to that, they must not be sponsored.
  • Also, the applicants must receive an offer to study a full-time or part-time undergraduate degree or postgraduate degree program at the University of Sheffield.
  • Similarly, all courses are eligible with the exceptions of Medicine and Dentistry.
  • Also, applicants must commence their studies at the University of Sheffield in September 2020.
  • Furthermore, the candidates whose masters programs split between the University of Sheffield and a partner institution are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • Additionally, the applicant should pay the overseas tuition fee rate.
  • The University of Sheffield reserves the right to review and change scholarship provision.

Value of Scholarship

  • 50 percent of the original tuition fee of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program

About the University

The University of Sheffield is a public research university in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It received its royal charter in 1905 as a successor to the University College of Sheffield, which was established in 1897 by the merger of Sheffield Medical School, Firth College, and Sheffield Technical School. Also, Sheffield is a multi-campus university predominantly over two campus areas: the Western Bank and St George’s. The university is organized into five academic faculties composed of multiple departments. Moreover, it had 20,005 undergraduate and 8,710 postgraduate students in 2016/17.
