Applications are open for the New York Times Fellowship Program 2019. This is a one-year work program aimed at cultivating the next generation of journalists. It will include reporters, photographers, videographers, social and audio producers, designers and visual editors.
The fellowship will last for 12 months. They hope that this new immersive program will benefit not only the participants and The Times, but other newsrooms. Beginning in June 2019, the program will incorporate reporters across a range of sections, as well as journalists in photo, visual investigations, graphics, news design, podcasts, Opinion and The New York Times Magazine.
Fellows will work full time and will be paid and receive benefits. They will be Guild-represented employees.
