Details
The University of Nottingham calls applications for Africa Postgraduate Excellence Award 2021. Scholarships will only be awarded to students who accept their offer to study at the University of Nottingham. Moreover, they do not need to respond to their offer before applying for this scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded after assessing all scholarship applications. The University will contact you in early July 2021 to confirm the outcome of your application.
If you are awarded this scholarship, it will be deducted from the tuition fees charged to you as a student at the University of Nottingham. However, the University of Nottingham will not pay tuition fee scholarships to you directly.
Funding and Benefits
Africa Postgraduate Excellence Award will cover an overall amount of £4,000 as a contribution towards tuition fees.
Eligibility
Applicants for this Nottingham Africa Postgraduate Excellence Award must
- Be domiciled in Africa.
- Be classed as an overseas student for fee purposes.
- Also hold an offer to start full-time masters (including MRes) in any subject area at the University of Nottingham UK in September or October 2021
You may also be eligible to apply for our Developing Solutions Masters Scholarship. You can apply and be considered for both of these scholarships but you will not be awarded both.
How to apply?
- Candidates must apply for and receive an offer to study a full-time masters (including MRes) at the University of Nottingham before applying for this scholarship. Search for courses and find out how to apply.
- If candidates have an offer for a taught master’s course, they can apply through the scholarships section of the application system, MyNottingham.
- If you have an offer for an MRes course, email the scholarships team on [email protected] for instructions on how to apply.
Application Criteria
Applicants will need to answer questions about their achievements, study plans and reasons for choosing to study at the University of Nottingham. The University of Nottingham will assess their responses and academic merit when making scholarship decisions.
