Position Summary

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) is looking for a Post-Doctoral Scientist interested in understanding ovarian cancer pathobiology. The lab focuses on the molecular mechanisms of ovarian cancer signaling, the role of mutant p53, and the ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS) in tumor progression. Test the efficacy of small-molecule inhibitors from UPS in the ovarian cancer intervention. The research integrates multi-omics approaches, mouse models, patient tumors, cellular, and molecular biology techniques.

Requirements

Candidates must have the following qualifications for this Postdoctoral Fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine

  • Ph.D. in cell/molecular biology, biochemistry or related field.
  • Relevant background in cancer biology, transcriptional regulation or cancer epigenetics.
  • Experience in molecular and cell biology experiments, mammalian cell culture, ChIP, proteomics, and animal handling.
  • Ability to learn and use new techniques, an efficient worker in a team or independently, and with creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated recent Ph.D. graduates, who would like to develop a professional career in biomedical/cancer research.
  • Good verbal, writing, and computational skills.
